People who immigrate to American get married, have jobs, raise families but often have aging parents back in the home-country.    If the parent is able to join their children in America and eventually get a green card, they will need health insurance.  Even after a person has a green card they are only eligible to purchase Medicare Part A or B in 5 years.  There is insurance to help these seniors after they arrive and before they are eligible for Medicare.  Medicare Bridge insurance is designed to protect people who are newly immigrated and over 65.   Plans vary and deductible range from $500 to $5,000 and coverage is age banded.   Call to get a quote on Bridge insurance.
